October is Campus Sustainability Month, an international celebration of sustainability in higher education. During this month, colleges and universities organize in alliance with The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education to create awareness and encourage participation in events that raise visibility of campus sustainability.

At Bullfrog Communities, we have a treasure trove of environmental documentaries that provide a wide variety of what sustainability can look like from many points of view. Newly released films like CONNECTIVITY PROJECT highlight how different cultures and traditions from around the world, and science, embrace the importance of interconnectedness; THE POINT OF NO RETURN takes viewers behind the headlines of the first solar-powered flight around the world, where two courageous pilots take turns battling nature, their own crew and sometimes logic itself to achieve the seemingly impossible, to inspire a developing renewable-energy future; ENTANGLED, the multi-award winning documentary that chronicles the efforts to protect North Atlantic right whales from extinction, the impacts of those efforts on the lobster industry, and how the National Marine Fisheries Service has struggled to balance the vying interests; and our newest film, NATURE'S CLEANUP CREW, take a look at the different kinds of animals and insects that protect the earth from waste; among many more.

Below is a list of recommendations to book for your October Campus Sustainability events. And don't forget — every spring we will offer Earth Day Festival in a Box, with specials on 3, 5 or 7 film screenings. This offer will be announced in March with a deadline for booking (not necessarily hosting) screenings is the end of April.
