ORGANIZATIONS

Whidbey Environmental Action Network (WEAN) - Our mission is the restoration and preservation of the native biological diversity of Whidbey Island and the Pacific Northwest. We accomplish this through: education, activation, preservation & restoration, and litigation.

Center for Biological Diversity - At the Center for Biological Diversity, we believe that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, we work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. We do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive. We want those who come after us to inherit a world where the wild is still alive.

Conservation Northwest - We protect, connect and restore wildlands and wildlife from the Washington Coast to the British Columbia Rockies.

Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) - PEER supports current and former public employees who seek a higher standard of environmental ethics and scientific integrity within their agencies. We do this by defending whistleblowers, shining the light on improper or illegal government actions, working to improve laws and regulations, and supporting the work of other organizations.

Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) - Begun as a traditional public interest law firm seeking to protect the environment, CELDF is helping to build a decolonial movement for Community Rights and the Rights of Nature to advance democratic, economic, social, and environmental rights – building upward from the grassroots to the state, federal, and international levels.

Community Rights US - Community Rights is a national team of professionals working with communities to pass locally enforceable laws protecting people and nature from corporate destructive practices, offering continuing support
to communities in order to create a sustainable, lasting shift that puts the power back in the hands of the
people over the long-term.

Environmental Law Institute (ELI) - The Environmental Law Institute (ELI) makes law work for people, places, and the planet. ELI’s Mission is to foster innovative, just, and practical law and policy solutions to enable leaders across borders and sectors to make environmental, economic, and social progress.

The Network for Public Health Law - The Network provides visionary leadership in the use of law to protect, promote, and improve health and health equity through non-partisan legal technical assistance and resources, collaborating with a broad set of partners across sectors to expand and enhance the use of practical legal and policy solutions.

Center for Biological Diversity - The Center for Biological Diversity believes that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, the Center works to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive.

Earthjustice - Founded in 1971, Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit public interest environmental law organization, wielding the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change.
